Angry Senior Citizen Gets Disorderly Conduct Summons At Cardi B Video Shoot

Cardi B and her crew taught a 70-year-old photographer, Steven Sands, a hard lesson about respecting boundaries during her Brooklyn music video shoot on Monday.

The senior-citizen shutterbug decided he knew better than everyone else on set, bypassed police barriers, and ignored direct orders from security staff trying to maintain the production’s controlled environment.

Things escalated quickly when Sands refused to comply with police instructions, and NYPD officers ended up slapping handcuffs on him and issuing a disorderly conduct summons.

According to Sands’ version of events, he’d arrived at the Sunset Park location before Cardi even showed up to film.

A security guard approached him with instructions about crowd control and media positioning, then moved him behind equipment so he couldn’t get his shot.

Sands told the guard he wanted to relocate just ten feet to an open area where he could capture better footage of the rapper.

When the guard refused, saying Cardi wouldn’t want that, Sands fired back with a line that probably sealed his fate: “I don’t mean to be rude, but I don’t care what Cardi wants.”

That’s the kind of attitude that could have gotten his ass beat up.

According to TMZ, the situation spiraled from there, with Sands continuing to resist orders and ultimately getting cuffed by NYPD officers next to a patrol car.

He was released without arrest but hit with a criminal court summons.

This isn’t Cardi’s first rodeo with photographer drama either. She’s been sued by photographers over copyright issues and has dealt with multiple security-related incidents over the years, including a lawsuit in which her security beat up a guy seeking an autograph outside the Met Gala.

The pattern here is clear: Cardi’s team takes security seriously, and they’re not going to let random people dictate how a professional production operates.

Sands’ refusal to accept that he wasn’t running the show cost him a summons and a whole lot of embarrassment.
