Nicki Minaj Gets Sued By Her Own Lawyers Over Massive Unpaid Bill

Nicki Minaj’s getting sued by the lawyers who were supposed to help her, claiming she owes nearly a quarter million in unpaid legal fees from 2024.

Nicki Minaj is getting hit with another lawsuit over unpaid bills, and this time it’s her own lawyers coming after her.

Law firm Gordon Rees Scully Mansukhani LLP filed suit in Los Angeles County Superior Court claiming the rapper owes $229,541 for legal work they did back in 2024.

The firm represented her in a copyright infringement case, and now they’re saying she’s ghosting them on the bill.

Here’s where it gets worse.

According to TMZ, Nicki never responded to the lawsuit, which means the court entered a default against her.

That’s basically the legal equivalent of not showing up to the fight. A hearing’s scheduled for September where the judge will decide whether to enter a default judgment, which would mean the firm wins by default without even having to prove their case in court.

This isn’t her first rodeo with money troubles.

Back in March, a production company sued her for $275,000 over concert-related debt that she allegedly refused to pay.

Before that, she was dealing with a $10 million lawsuit from someone claiming to be a stalker, which she finally settled in June.

The pattern’s becoming hard to ignore.

What makes this situation different is that it’s not some random vendor or production company anymore. These are the lawyers who were supposed to be protecting her interests in court.

When your own legal team is suing you for non-payment, that sends a message about how things are being handled behind the scenes. .

The firm’s basically saying they did the work, sent the bills, and got nothing but silence in return.

The bigger picture here shows a pattern of financial disputes piling up.

She’s faced multiple six-figure lawsuits in recent months, and each one represents a different area of her business and legal life. Whether it’s concert promoters, production companies, or now her own attorneys, the common thread is unpaid money and unresponsive communication.

The court hearing in September will be the next major moment in this case, and if the default judgment goes through, Nicki could be looking at owing the full amount plus legal fees and court costs.
