Drake’s quietly reviving a legendary Texas saddle shop that closed after 65 years, expanding his business reach into heritage Americana.
Drake is quietly making moves in Texas, and this time it’s not about music or fashion.
The Canadian rapper’s fingerprints are all over the resurrection of a historic saddle shop that closed its doors after nearly seven decades in business.
Trademark filings and business connections suggest he’s orchestrating the comeback of the Brenham Saddle Shop, a legendary western wear destination that shuttered in April 2025 when rising operational costs became too much to handle.
The shop’s closure hit hard for locals who’d relied on the institution for generations.

But the owners made it clear the closure wouldn’t be permanent, and now those words are coming true.
According to KBTX, new trademark filings reveal that ADG Vanguard IP LLC, a Los Angeles-based firm with ties to Drake’s business empire, filed paperwork in November 2025 to secure the Brenham Saddle Shop brand.
The move came after an initial filing from the same company was abandoned earlier that year. Austin-based IP attorney Robert Kleinman, who represents ADG Vanguard, executed the trademark acquisition, and the shop’s Instagram announcement confirmed a fall 2026 reopening is locked in.

Drake’s been building a serious business portfolio beyond the booth.
His OVO Sound label generates over $50 million annually, and he’s invested heavily in everything from fast-casual restaurants like Dave’s Hot Chicken to Italian soccer club Venezia FC, which just secured over $100 million in fresh capital.
He’s also got stakes in plant-based chicken companies and tech platforms, proving he’s thinking way bigger than just dropping albums.
The timing makes sense.
Drake recently settled into a massive ranch in Texas, and stopping by the Brenham Saddle Shop during his visits to the area apparently sparked something.
The shop’s 65-year legacy of crafting premium saddles and western wear represents exactly the kind of heritage brand Drake would be interested in acquiring and revitalizing.
The Brenham Saddle Shop’s fall reopening will mark the first time the doors open in over a year, and locals are already buzzing about what the Drake connection means for the future.
