Drake’s DreamCrew is executive producing Apple TV’s *Neuromancer*, a cyberpunk epic hitting the streamer in January 2027.

Drake just made his biggest TV bet yet, backing Apple TV’s Neuromancer as executive producer through his DreamCrew Entertainment company.

The first teaser for the 10-episode cyberpunk series dropped at San Diego Comic-Con this weekend, and it hits different.

Drake produces alongside DreamCrew partners Adel “Future” Nur and Jason Shrier, with the series set to premiere globally in January 2027.

Based on William Gibson’s groundbreaking 1984 novel, Neuromancer basically invented cyberpunk before the internet was even a thing.

The story follows Case, a skilled but beaten-down hacker played by Callum Turner, operating in the neon-lit underworld of futuristic Chiba City, Japan. Armitage recruits him for a high-stakes corporate heist and pairs him with Molly, a mirrored-eye assassin played by Briana Middleton.

The series boasts one of the stronger ensemble casts of the year. Mark Strong plays Armitage, with Peter Sarsgaard, Dane DeHaan, Clémence Poésy and André De Shields also joining the lineup.

According to Deadline, Graham Roland serves as showrunner with Devotion director JD Dillard leading the first three episodes.

Both Roland and Dillard bring serious credibility to the project, which is co-produced by Paramount Television Studios and Anonymous Content. The entire production was filmed in Japan during the first half of 2025.

This isn’t Drake’s first time proving his TV instincts run deep.

His DreamCrew banner already has HBO’s Euphoria and Netflix’s Top Boy in the résumé, and both became genuine cultural moments on their respective platforms.

Those two shows alone demonstrate that his producing eye is far from ceremonial. Euphoria creator Sam Levinson recently credited Drake as the early champion who helped sell HBO on a show they weren’t sure about.

What’s telling about Neuromancer is how naturally it connects back to where Drake started. He spent years in front of the camera on Degrassi: The Next Generation before music took over his entire trajectory.

Neuromancer launches on Apple TV on January 22, 2027, rolling out one new episode per week through March 19.
