Tony Yayo just told Rick Ross his career’s over after “Set In Stone” sold less than Tory Lanez while he’s locked up.
Tony Yayo just delivered a brutal assessment of one of Hip-Hop’s most decorated careers, and the numbers backing his critique are impossible to ignore.
During a recent podcast appearance, the G-Unit veteran didn’t hold back when discussing Rick Ross’s latest album performance, pointing to first-week sales that fell short of expectations and even underperformed compared to artists currently facing legal troubles.
The conversation quickly escalated beyond just album numbers into a broader commentary about legacy, relevance, and what it takes to maintain status in an industry that moves faster than most can keep up with.
The specifics paint a damning picture for the Maybach Music founder.

Set In Stone, Ross’s 12th studio album, moved approximately 17,000 to 19,000 equivalent units in its opening week, landing somewhere in the 39th to 45th position on the Billboard 200 chart.
For context, that’s a significant drop from his previous efforts and represents a moment where the narrative around his career shifted noticeably.
Yayo seized on this moment to make his point, comparing Ross’s performance to Tory Lanez, who released music while incarcerated, and Larry June, whose recent project outperformed the Maybach Music boss.
“Ross you need some help. You need the Drake stimulus package. That wasn’t there for you. Beefing with 50, that wasn’t good for you. It’s just nothing been good for you, man. Find a new career, man,” Tony Yayl snapped.
The comparison stung because it highlighted a gap between perception and reality.
“You need the Drake stimulus package,” Yayo said, referencing the impact that beefing with Drake had on Ross’s commercial trajectory.
The comment wasn’t just about one feud, though. Yayo pointed to a pattern of decisions and conflicts that he believes have accumulated into a credibility problem.
His assessment touched on everything from the Drake situation to past tensions with 50 Cent, suggesting that Ross’s current position reflects years of strategic missteps rather than a single moment.
The tone was less about celebration and more about observation, as if Yayo was simply stating facts that the numbers already confirmed.
