Sidney Starr Arrested On Child Sex Crime Charges As Georgia Authorities Stay Silent On Details

Sidney Starr faces multiple felony charges after Georgia police arrested the reality television personality in connection with an alleged sexual assault involving a juvenile, though investigators have released few details because the case involves a minor.

According to the Hapeville Police Department, Sidney Starr, whose government name is Sidney Favors, was taken into custody Sunday. This follows an investigation into an incident at the Embassy Suites hotel on International Boulevard in Hapeville, Georgia.

Authorities charged Favors with sodomy, sexual battery against a child under 16 and aggravated child molestation.

Favors remained in custody at the Fulton County Jail as of Monday while the case moves through the legal process.

Police said the investigation has been turned over to the Fulton County District Attorney’s Office for prosecution.

Investigators have declined to provide additional information about the allegations.

“Because this case involves a juvenile, no additional information will be released from our agency,” the Hapeville Police Department said in a statement provided to FOX 5 Atlanta.

No court filings outlining the factual allegations behind the charges had been publicly detailed in the information released by law enforcement. It is also unclear whether Favors has retained legal representation or entered a plea. The charges are allegations and have not been proven in court.

Favors has spent years building a profile in entertainment and social media. The trans model and television personality has appeared on reality programs including “Baddies” and “Baddies ATL.” Favors has also made appearances on the scripted television series “Star” and “Empire,” expanding a career that has included music, modeling and online content creation.

The arrest marks the latest legal development involving a high profile reality television personality, though the limited information released by authorities means many of the circumstances surrounding the case remain unknown.

Starr rose to fame in 2010 when. she falsely claimed she had a romantic relationship with rapper Chingy. The rapper’s career was never the same, despite the truth emerging.
