EXCLUSIVE: Eminem’s Shady War With Real Housewives Moves From Podcast Names To Lipstick & Candles
Published

Robyn Dixon and Gizelle Bryant say Eminem waited years to challenge beauty products tied to their Reasonably Shady brand.
Eminem‘s three-year war over Reasonably Shady took another strange turn July 24 when Robyn Dixon and Gizelle Bryant defended their untouched beauty plans.
The Real Housewives of Potomac stars asked the federal trademark board to reject his newest challenge to their podcast’s name.
Their response follows Eminem’s July 17 filing, which questions plans for eye shadow, lip gloss, makeup and candles that never reached shoppers.
His lawyers argue the missing suppliers, samples, prices and packaging show Dixon and Bryant reserved product categories without seriously preparing anything for sale.

“[Eminem] waited nearly three years after receiving [Dixon and Bryant’s] discovery responses and taking Ms. Dixon’s deposition before asserting an entirely new claim,” their filing says.
Dixon and Bryant say Eminem is using later testimony to rewrite what they intended when they filed their trademark application in February 2022.
“A later statement that [Dixon and Bryant] did not have immediate or foreseeable launch plans for certain products does not establish that [Dixon and Bryant] lacked a bona fide intent when the application was filed. The timing matters,” they argue.
Their point is simple: An empty makeup bag in 2023 cannot prove their earlier beauty plans existed only on paper.
Their lawyers also point to hoodies, hats, shirts, mugs and autographed paddles as proof that Reasonably Shady already had paying customers.
“[Dixon and Bryant] had an operating podcast brand and had used the mark in connection with consumer-facing merchandise, including hoodies, hats, shirts and tops, mugs, and autographed paddles. Those facts distinguish this case from one involving a party with no business, no brand, no audience, and no commercial activity. Cosmetics and candles are plausible extensions for a lifestyle, entertainment, style, and personality-driven brand,” the filing states.
The women essentially argue that lipstick and candles were believable next steps, even if those products never escaped the planning stage.
The federal docket says Eminem opposed their application in February 2023 because he believes consumers could confuse it with his Shady brands.
AllHipHop previously reported Eminem resisted their request to question him and offered manager Paul Rosenberg plus two other witnesses with direct knowledge.
Dixon and Bryant called that special treatment, while his lawyers said forcing Eminem into a lengthy morning interview would burden him and invite harassment.
Eminem’s trial witness information remains due Aug. 14 unless the board changes or pauses the schedule while considering his pending request.
