Megan Thee Stallion’s cameraman lawsuit heads to trial after a judge rejected her attempt to dismiss it, forcing the rapper to face allegations of wage theft and workplace misconduct.
Megan Thee Stallion is heading to trial over allegations from her former cameraman that span unpaid wages, workplace mistreatment, and a disturbing incident in Ibiza.
Federal Judge Gregory H. Woods rejected her attempt to dismiss the case before it reaches a jury, meaning Emilio Garcia’s claims will be heard in court.
The decision keeps the lawsuit alive and forces both sides to prepare for what could be a lengthy legal battle over competing versions of their working relationship.
Garcia filed suit against Megan, her entertainment company, Hot Girl Touring, and Roc Nation in 2024 after years working as her personal photographer.

His allegations paint a picture of systematic underpayment and a toxic environment where he claims he couldn’t speak freely about what he witnessed.
Woods found enough conflicting evidence regarding compensation, working conditions, and hostile work environment claims to allow the case to proceed to trial.
Megan’s legal team has consistently denied everything, calling Garcia’s account fabricated and describing the whole thing as a standard employment dispute dressed up with sensational details.
The most talked-about allegation involves a 2022 trip to Ibiza where Garcia claims he was trapped in a moving SUV while Megan had sex with another woman beside him.
He says he was later told to keep quiet about what happened. Megan’s attorneys have disputed his version of events and his broader characterization of their working dynamic.
The case already survived one attempt to narrow it in 2025, when Woods allowed claims of a hostile work environment and wage-and-hour violations to continue while dismissing other counts.
No trial date has been set yet, but both sides are expected to submit estimates for how long the proceedings will take before Woods schedules it on the calendar.
As reported by NBC News, the case involves claims that Garcia was prohibited from working for other clients and denied overtime pay and breaks while working with the rapper.
