DaBaby is taking his Charlotte empire beyond the booth and into the kitchen with No Knife Chicken and Waffles, a new restaurant opening in North Charlotte in mid-July that marks his first major move into the food business.
The spot sits at 700 Atando Avenue and represents something bigger than just another celebrity restaurant venture.
This is a mogul expanding his reach into territory he’s never touched before, and it’s happening right in his hometown, where he’s already reshaped the entire rap landscape.
The menu centers on chicken and waffles with recipes DaBaby’s been sharing on social media for months, building anticipation before the doors even open.

He won’t be working the line as head chef, but he’s deeply involved in developing what customers will actually eat. The restaurant’s got a fast casual vibe mixed with upscale diner energy, featuring booth seating, a full bar, and late-night service that runs past midnight.
According to WBTV, a large waffle sign had already been installed out front, signaling the opening’s closure.
This restaurant move fits perfectly into DaBaby’s larger business strategy. He’s not just a rapper anymore.
He runs Billion Dollar Baby Entertainment, his own record label that’s signed artists and generated revenue streams most rappers never build.
Earlier this year, he launched the Be More Grateful music festival in Concord, bringing together 50 Cent, Busta Rhymes, Waka Flocka Flame, and Boosie Badazz for a celebration of music and culture that drew thousands.
That festival proved he could execute at scale beyond just dropping albums.
The restaurant’s late-night positioning is strategic too.
Charlotte’s nightlife scene needs spots that stay open when everything else closes, and DaBaby has clearly identified that gap.
With a full bar and food service running after midnight, No Knife becomes a destination for the after-hours crowd, not just a lunch spot. DaBaby’s mogul mentality is clear: identify a market, build infrastructure, and own the space.
