Usher Snaps On Crowd: “Don’t Bring Your A** Up Here If You Don’t Wanna Be Here”

Usher tells the Birmingham crowd “don’t bring your a** up here if you don’t wanna be here” after the Nashville fan admits she came for Chris Brown.
Usher answered Gabrielle Cheyenne at his Birmingham show Tuesday with a warning he made sure the entire arena could hear. Before calling another fan up, he addressed the crowd: “Don’t bring your a** up here if you don’t wanna be here. God don’t like ugly.”
The crowd erupted, and the clip hit social media immediately, making it Usher’s most direct response since the Nashville saga began.
What triggered the Birmingham callout was an interview Gabrielle Cheyenne gave on Monday, in which the 24-year-old nurse from Chattanooga laid it all out.
“Me, solely, I went to the concert for Chris Brown,” she said, saying her reaction would’ve been “completely different” if Breezy called her up. She also said she wouldn’t have accepted the VIP upgrade, knowing it was Usher, not Brown, waiting for her at center stage.

The drama started July 25 at Usher and Chris Brown’s R&B Tour stop in Nashville during his performance of “Can U Handle It?”
Cheyenne sat stiffly while Usher tried to serenade her on a prop bed, pulling back with every attempt until he shut it down. “I don’t think she want to be on the stage, huh?” he told the crowd, then waved her off as crew escorted her out.
Cheyenne clapped back on Facebook, writing that “NOBODY is declining to go on stage” and calling her VIP upgrade pure “pretty privilege.”
Her mother posted a backstage photo of Gabrielle with Usher’s wife Jenn Goicoechea and captioned it “she ain’t mad so why y’all mad.” At that same show, a fan Chris Brown called up was all the way in, and the contrast hasn’t been kind to Usher since.
The Birmingham moment was Usher’s most public response yet, and fans are already wondering whether he’ll keep the warning in his set going forward.
The R&B Tour now has more than 20 dates remaining through December 11 in Tampa. Upcoming stops include Boston, Chicago, San Francisco, Las Vegas, Los Angeles, Houston, and Atlanta, and everyone at those shows now knows the rules.
Fans have already dubbed the run The Divorce Tour for what both co-headliners tend to do to women they pull from the front row.
